Getafe welcome Atlético Madrid to Coliseum Alfonso Pérez with the hosts on the hunt for revenge – the last time they lost in front of their own fans was a 1-0 defeat to Atlético in their final home fixture of the 2017/18 La Liga (LL) campaign.
Unbeaten in their last three games after losing their opener to Real Madrid (W2, D1, L1), Getafe come into this off a 2-0 away win at Sevilla that saw them claim their third clean sheet.
The hosts now have the joint-best LL defensive record this campaign, conceding just two goals in four games. They had a tight defence last season too, conceding an average of 0.8 goals per match.
This encounter may be a battle of the defences then, as Diego Simeone’s side had the best defensive record in last season’s top-flight, conceding just 22 goals in 38 games.
