MATCH PREVIEW

Wednesday night sees two in-form Championship sides in Sheffield Wednesday (W2, D2, L1), and West Bromwich Albion (W4, D1) come head to head.
The hosts have lost just one of their last five games and come into this on the back of a draw against then top of the table Leeds – a result which allowed the visitors, West Brom, to climb to the top of the table ahead of this round.
This will be the 13th season that the sides have competed in the second tier of English football together, the H2H record at Hillsborough is impossible to split, with 11 H2H encounters in South Yorkshire seeing Wednesday return a record of: W4, D3, W4.
Wednesday are yet to be beaten at home in the league (W2, D3) and they have been exciting to watch for the most part. Both teams have scored in all five of the Owls’ home games so far, with three ending as ‘score draws’.
We could be in for a nervy start, but West Brom won’t mind. As of the start of October, the midland club were the joint-highest scorers of points acquired after HT, with 14 from a possible 24.
Players to watch: Adam Reach scored an absolute peach of a goal for Sheffield Wednesday last time out to double his goal tally for the season.
With six goals and two assists – Dwight Gayle’s goals account for just under a quarter of WBA’s total haul (6/25). He scored the winner last time out with two minutes to spare.
Stat attack: No other Championship side has a better win percentage than Sheffield Wednesday (100%) for wins after a level HT score.
Both teams have scored in each of Wednesday’s last seven Championship games.
West Brom have failed to keep a clean sheet away from home this season.
