MATCH PREVIEW

With opposing fortunes and at opposite ends of the table, 21st-placed Hull City (W1, D1, L3) meet second-placed Leeds United (W1, D3, L1) in an all-Yorkshire encounter in the Championship.
With Nigel Adkins’ men picking up just one win in five, Hull City were able to hold on for a 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough in their last game, staving off last-place. With just two wins from ten games, the ‘Tigers’ are holding on with their claws and are also riding a three-game losing streak (away). Still precariously close to the relegation zone however, five HT/FT losses exemplify the true troubles at City.
With Leeds’ recent form taking a hit, they are winless in two games and have lost two important home games so far. As a result, Marcelo Bielsa’s men are out of the Carabao Cup and have picked up just six points in five games – almost half of their opening five games points haul (13).
Away from home Leeds are still the only team unbeaten and have conceded just five goals – the same amount of goals than Hull have scored (at home).
These teams recently played out a goalless draw at the KCOM Stadium taking their overall H2H draws to 12 – but with 22 wins to 14, it is Leeds who have the historical advantage.
Players to watch: Jarrod Bowen has three goals and an assist so far (in all competitions) and scored in his last game.
Mateusz Klich meanwhile has been prolific for Leeds and has four goals so far – including a goal in his last game.
Stat attack: Four of the last five H2H meetings here have ended as draws, with Hull winning last in a 2-0 win back in December 2012.
Hull have only kept one clean sheet in their last 14 league games.
With 19 yellow cards and 100+ fouls in their last five H2H meetings – will we see another highly contested encounter here?
