MATCH PREVIEW

Already relegated from the UEFA Nations League’s (UNL) top division, Poland will try and regain some pride by securing victory against the Czech Republic – a team that’s lost on three previous visits to the country.
On a four-game winless streak (D2, L2), Poland’s unimpressive World Cup showing (W1, L2) has spilled into their post-tournament form. In friendly fixtures alone, they have looked a lot better though, losing just one of their last five at home (W2, D2, L1).
However a leaky defence has been a recurring problem for the hosts throughout 2018, conceding in nine of 11 games (W3, D3, L5).
The visitors come into this after a 1-0 UNL away defeat to Ukraine in their last outing, and will see this encounter as an important warm-up to their tournament clash against Slovakia next week – a make or break match that could end in relegation.
Curiously the Czechs are yet to draw a game on foreign soil this year (W3, L4), and have won and lost five of their last ten games overall (W5, L5; home and away). Both teams scored in five of those ten matches, while there was a goal scored after the 75th minute in six of them.
Players to watch: Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik scored the opener the last time these sides met – a 3-1 friendly victory for Poland in 2015.
Patrik Schick got the Czech Republic’s UNL winner against Slovakia, and scored for Roma in their 4-1 victory over Sampdoria last week.
Stat attack: There’s been a goal scored from the 75th minute to the final whistle in four of Poland’s last five matches.
The Czech Republic have been drawing at half-time in only one of their last ten games on foreign soil.
Each of Poland’s three home victories over the Czech Republic have been accompanied with both teams scoring.
