Lille will be looking to claim a ninth-straight Ligue 1 (L1) home victory in this clash, whilst Strasbourg will be desperately hoping to put an end to their run of five away league games without victory (D3, L2).
After a great run of four consecutive L1 wins (home and away), Lille finally lost at unbeaten league leaders PSG last weekend. Remarkably, Christophe Galtier’s side have now scored at least two goals in seven of their last eight L1 home fixtures.
With their 100% L1 home record still intact this season (W6), the hosts will be looking to equal the Lille side that went seven in a row back in 2001/02 – a season the ‘Lillois’ went on to finish third.
The visitors will make this a tough game however, and are currently unbeaten in their last six in all competitions (W3, D3), including a 2-0 home win over Lille in the Coupe de la Ligue last week.
