<li>This match will be particularly special for Fabio Cannavaro, the new coach of Udinese. As the 2006 FIFA World Champion, he will be facing his hometown and childhood club, Napoli.</li>
<li>In the previous round, Cannavaro&#8217;s team managed to secure an important point against Bologna, a top-four team, with a 1-1 draw. However, with the Bianconeri starting this round in the relegation zone, two points behind safety, Cannavaro has a challenging task ahead of him in the final four rounds of the Serie A campaign.</li>

However, the result of the upcoming Coppa Italia final could send ninth-placed Napoli to the UEFA Europa Conference League play-off round.</li>
<li>The visitors suffered a disappointing defeat in their last away match against a relegation-threatened opponent, Empoli (L 1-0). This defeat came after club owner Aurelio De Laurentiis left the stands after half-time, adding to their worrying run of only two wins across their last 12 away matches (D3, L7).</li>
<li>Players to watch: Lazar Samardžić scored the only goal for Udinese in the reverse fixture (L 4-1). He has scored four of his last six strikes for the club before the break. Victor Osimhen, also from Napoli, scored in that match and now has three goals in his last four outings, all after the break.</li>
