<li>After losing their last match by 5-0 against Roma, Parma&#8217;s third consecutive defeat in Serie A, they are now just one point above the relegation zone. Their struggles have been largely due to their poor goalkeeping, as they have conceded 33 league goals this season, ranking second-worst in the division behind only Hellas Verona. This is mainly because they have allowed 11 goals in their last three defeats — a third of their total goal tally this season!</li>
<li>Parma have lost three of their last four home matches, winning just once, which suggests that their return to Stadio Ennio Tardini will not be a triumphant one. However, the neutrals usually enjoy games at this stadium, as each of the last four matches produced at least four goals. A quick start is also expected, as each of Parma&#8217;s last three home matches saw the opener inside the first six minutes.</li>
<li>Monza, on the other hand, have also been in poor form, following three consecutive defeats after a 2-1 loss to Juventus on Sunday evening. This loss saw them drop to the bottom of the table (W1, D7, L9). Monza&#8217;s stay in Serie A now seems to be in real jeopardy, as they have won just one of their last 26 top-flight matches (D10, L15), including the final weeks of last season.</li>

<li>Players to watch: Simon Sohm scored a brace in Parma&#8217;s last home match (L 3-2 Verona), and four of his last five goals for the club came before the break. After missing most of this season due to injury, Samuele Birindelli scored his first ever Serie A goal against Juventus last round. That goal came in the first half, but six of his other seven career strikes arrived after the break.</li>
